Red - incorrect tool, drops nothing
Yellow - correct tool, drops nothing or something other than the block itself
Green - correct tool, drops the block itself

All times are estimates based on the blocks from vanilla whose settings they inherit. Times listed with an asterisk (*) are more likely to be inaccurate.

Times of 0.05 are equivalent to mining the block instantly (0.05 is 1 game tick).

Efficiency, Haste, Mining Fatigue and similar factors are ignored.

When it comes to breaking times, Chromium and Solid Chromium tools are roughly between Iron and Diamond, Strengthened Chromium is equivalent to Diamond, Reinforced Chromium is equivalent to Netherite and Bonzite is slightly better than Netherite.

When it comes to breaking ability (whether or not the block drops itself, nothing, or something else), Chromium, Solid Chromium and Strengthened Chromium are equivalent to Iron, Reinforced Chromium is equivalent to Diamond and Bonzite is equivalent to Netherite.

Natural generation

Found uniformly underground in the deepslate layers (between y=0 and y=-64)

When mined naturally it will sometimes drop Pearl Fragments. When placed by a player and then mined it will only drop itself.
